Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Fanie Dick is an established jazz guitarist and dynamic force in the contemporary music scene. Since discovering his natural gift for the guitar in 2012, Fanie has masterfully blended his sound under the influence of global legends like George Benson, Wes Montgomery, and Jonathan Butler.

A seasoned performer, he honed his craft in local jazz clubs before captivating audiences on major stages, including the Ugu Jazz Festival, Durban Jazz Festival, Inanda Jazz Festival, Umlazi Jazz Festival, KZN Music Imbizo, and the Ukhozi Jazz Experience. Fanie has shared the spotlight with international icons Chris Walker and Regina Belle, as well as South African legends like Ringo Madlingozi, Thandiswa Mazwai, Sjava, Zamajobe, The Soil, and Zakes Bantwini. Driven by relentless perfectionism, collaborative spirit, and a deep love for his roots, Fanie aims to do more than just entertain—he is on a mission to actively shape and elevate the future of South African musical culture.
